To all my friends and dipsters who have chosen to go "pro se" for any reason...I have some procedural information I would like to share with you.
I have been served with a modification of child support and alimony. Which of course, I am sure it is not an increase. (LOL)
I believe and know of information which will proved beneficial to me in the arguing of this case.
I phoned the Clerk's office and found out that one appearing as Pro Se can indeed get subpoenas issued and here is the process:
Go to http://www.jud.ct.gov
go to General Forms
you will need to fill out JD CL 43 and JD CV 62
JD CL 43 = Supboena
JD CV 62= Application for issuance of supboena
After you have filled out the information
you will have to head down to the clerk's office
for New Haven it is located at 235 Church Street, New Haven
on the 2nd floor.
Once you are there they will review, and submit to a judge for approval.
Some are approved, others may not, you will have to wait til a decision.
They can either be mailed or available for pick up.
You will then be responsible to have a state marshal serve the person
in which you have had the subpoena issued. It should cost you approximately
45.00 for service.
The originals signed by state marshal have to be returned to the clerk's office.
But make sure to make copies for your self to have for proof.
Then the court will register the serve and will put you on the Short Calendar to
be heard!
I hope this helps.
Call the clerk's office for add'l info: New Haven is 203.503.6800
Thank you and hope you all have a great day!
